What Will I Do Today

video
Good mild Monday morning everybody I hope you have your rain coat handy!
Another weekend has flown past and now it's back to the working/workout part of your world.
Juggling this combination of making a living and training properly towards your long range athletic goals requires not only dedication but epic planning.
Nobody in this day and age has the luxury of scattered training that is hit and miss.
Nope, today having your training plan in hand when you rise each day is the key to making use of every valuable minute you carve out for yourself.
Time to fit it all in!
I participate in this topic of conversation regularly with my athletes from every walk of life, athletes who are new to triathlon and even with my athletes who are very familiar with traditional triathlon training demands because time matters.
It make no sense for me to write a super human training plan for my athlete that will guarantee them a first place every time if they are not super human, and it's the very same if they simply don't have the extra time everyday to train like a pro.
The training plan I write for each and every athlete I coach is based on "real time" and not meant to take over their lives but the opposite.
I help make their lives much more organized. : )
I include every possible time demand they knowingly have like family, work, travel, holidays, other commitments, etc, and then I build their personal, complicated or not, training plan accordingly.
Sound too good to be true that a plan can be whipped up for your crazy life style?
Well it's not, I have had some real "time crunch" challenges come through the door and bar none we have always been able to create a logical and doable training plan that will help prepare my eager triathlete for that special day, when another dream comes true.
OK, so now you have your daily plan saving you time, it doesn't end there!
Your time in the gym for example has to be set up so that "tea pot" time (one hand on the wall-the other on your hip-while you chat) is non existent. Your gym plan must be organized, have you in there working properly and get you back out with all the great benefits and do it every single time.
Lifting weights and doing other muscle building activities are required to keep your body strong and should never be done without proper instruction, seriously!
So today what I'm saying is that a "good plan works", be sure you have one!
Cheers!
The little video above I shot a few weeks ago at some point during our fun Saturday morning ride!
Are you planning to be there? : )
