| Bike class done it's time to stretch! |
As you can imagine we are running at full speed already in 2012 and one day is just blending into another for me and I'm sure for you as well!
I'm not complaining at all, in fact the excitement of what's going on round me keeps me sharp and moving and that's good for an old boy like me. There is plenty of time to rest when life is over!
All of our swim classes have waiting lists and I'm doing the best I can to juggle the bodies in there but really the fun and safety for everyone are the primary keys and to have a great swim session there must be enough room. If you are waiting on a list I will let you know when or if a spot opens up.
It's fantastic to see so many eager swimmers getting down to business and willing to go the extra mile so 2012 will bring them their fastest swim times ever.
The dial is up already and so you know, it's making a steady climb until the ice goes out, yahoo!
Our bike classes at the Legends Centre in Oshawa are at record numbers and that on it's own generates a lot of excitement simply by the size of the classes.
You know what they say, misery loves company! ; )
I'm just kidding, because like the swimming (effort) dial the bike class dial is going up and up and sometimes I get all the right buttons pushed, which makes for go get'em riding!
Every class has a title and a written plan to maintain a useful purpose and a record of what we actually did.
Two weeks ago our class was called "The Oatmeal Ride" and I'm still hearing about it! : )
I have been writing these classes for more than 10 years now and have a pretty good idea of what I want from the class and understand when I should actually see it.
Sometimes it's right now, but often from what we are doing today I will expect to see the positive improvements weeks and months down the road as that hard work settles into the human body.
My classes are never reckless but they push, they are doable by everyone in the room, they will make you a better stronger rider, and when it's over you will be very glad you did it! Seriously! : )
| Our 2012 Florida Training Camp is getting ready to roll out, once again! |
This year we are changing houses to a much bigger home with all the bells and whistles but our basic training format will follow similar lines as last year, sort of!
I say it like this because we will take full advantage of what this beautiful area of Florida has to offer and looking at how the athlete line ups are set there will be some very good friendly competitions from within our own groups.
We have only a couple of spots open in our 3rd week of the camp but for the other two weeks our house is full to the max.
Thank you, to all of you who are taking the plunge and are able to fly off to the sunny south to partake in this great living opportunity!
I am so looking forward to heading south again for all the usual reasons Canadians do it, but for me to be able to spend some quality time with my athletes in small groups at a time in the year when we cannot do this kind of training at home, is a true gift!
I'm sure there are plenty more interesting things I should catch you up on seeing as I have been so long away from my little blog, but I will do my best to smarten up and get regular on here again!
Me bad! : (
Have yourself an awesome day and if you deserve a pat on the back, give yourself one!
Cheers!
